'Everyday Grammar', '매일 문법'은 짧은 동영상을 통해 미국 영어 문법을 매일 연습할 수 있도록 준비한 강좌입니다. 매주 연재합니다. 오늘은 분리할 수 있는 구동사 활용법을 구체적으로 익혀보겠습니다.

<참조: https://www.voakorea.com/a/4296475.html >

I need to pick something up to eat.”

I need to pick up something to eat.

▶       이렇게 분리될 수 있는 구동사는 보통 come, put, get, go, sit, take등의 동사와 up, out, in, on, off, down 등의 전치사   혹은 부사로 구성됩니다.

come up (나오다, 발생하다)

come out (나오다, 생산되다)

come in (들어오다, 밀려오다)

come on (등장하다, 되어가다): She comes on in the first act. The project is coming on fine.

come off (떨어지다, 성공하다): The wheels have come off. The attack didnt come off the way the general planned.

come down (추락하다, 오다)

Take를 사용하면,

take up (<시간· 공간을> 차지하다, 시작하다): I dont know whats taking up too much space on my cell phone. Were going to take up the challenge.

take out (빼내다, <서비스를> 받다): Once you take out a book, dont put it back just anywhere. We had to take out a second bond on the property.

take in (흡수하다, ~을 포함하다, <옷을> 줄이다)

take on (~을 고용하다, ~와 겨루다),

동영상을 시작할 때 카베가 “I think youre putting me on!”이라고 말하자, 루시아는 “Of course, Im fooling you!”
